Here too in Canada the cost is next to nothing to adopt out of foster care. In our area there alone there are 1200 kids in need and only 500 homes! You know how this is at the for front of my heart. And I was so encouraged today to see your bold stand and words to challenge us all to do what we can. Some can adopt. Some can foster and love on these kids till they find thier forever homes. Some can finance the dreams of other families. On and on there is so much to be done and so many that can do it. We just have to get up and go. Last Sunday our pastor spoke on this very topic. Not specific to adoption. But just that, there is something that each of us the Father is calling us to. We just need to ask him what it is and do it. Loving you! I must look- I must let the image be burned into my spirit and be changed by what I see. Such suffering - for so long I could look at such images and feel bad but I didn't weep - today something is different I'm weeping. I imagine my 3 grandchildren in this condititon and no one coming to their rescue, it is an unbearable thought. Dearest Renee,

I am praying and praying the whole time I'm typing and while reading this. We are in the process of adopting through the foster system here in Canada...but they are so VERY slow....we were to hear things in December, now it's February...no idea. Two boys through a disruption...no idea if they will be ours or not. Praying and pleading with God. Plus my heart is drawn to Romania for some reason...cannot get it off my mind. Dh is not there...has no desire for that country. So not sure what that is all about. Maybe just to spurr me on to more prayer for the needs in our own community.
