Derek’s gravesite

Hello to all our precious friends and family,

Some of you who live out of state and overseas have asked if I’d post a photo of Derek’s gravesite for those of you who live too far away to see it.  I took a photo to share with you today. The cards and notes at the top of the grave have been left there in remembrance of Derek. 

It’s hard to believe that my love has now been gone for 1 year and 1 month.  As always, we know we don’t grieve as those who have no hope! That is so comforting in the middle of our pain.  We’re so thankful that our hope is in Jesus.

Here’s just a little reminder for each of you.  The One who created you, knows you, looks at you with love, calls you His own and says, “You are mine forever!” Your heart has a home and it’s not a place but a Person who will never let you go. You are loved. You are valuable. You have a purpose. God’s got a great plan!
