Please Keep Silas In Your Prayers

On Monday, May 3rd, our precious little Silas will be having surgery again.  He has a lump in his abdomen that needs to be removed.  Silas’ doctor is concerned that it might grow into  a cancerous tumor,  so he’s decided to remove it. Please keep our little one in your prayers.  Silas has been our special angel for almost a year and a half  now. We are so blessed to have him as ours.  He is growing big and strong and Jesus has done much in his little heart,  to bring healing to his body, mind and spirit.

This will  be the first surgery I’ve had to walk through with one of our children,  without Derek by my side.  Although I know he’ll be interceeding from heaven,  it will be a little emotional, so I would like to ask for your prayers for me as well. God is faithful!

Thank you so much, again, for so many of you who have sent our family  beautiful words of love, gifts and encouraging music CD’s that have really ministered to our spirit.  Your prayers mean more to me than I could begin to express.

Much love and thanks to each of you!

Renee’ and tribe

    Hi Renee,
Of course I will be praying for Silas that God will watch over him and hold him safe in his arms during the surgery. It’s always scary when a child goes into surgery so I will be praying for you and your family to have peace during the procedure.

Our small group will be lifting wee Silas up before our Papa tonight!

I bless Silas in the name of the One, who loves him with an everlasting love, who knows all thoughts, catches ever tear, and hears every whisper. The One who makes a way when there is no way, and brings streams in the midst of a desert.

    Love you Renee
And the rest of the Loux clan!

    Dearest Renee

I will absolutely be praying for your sweet angel boy.

I looked for a contact e-mail but could not find one, so I’ll just write to you here :)
I cannot even begin to imagine the pain of your loss. I have wept through every single one of your posts. I know your sweet Jesus is carrying you daily.

Last summer we committed to adopting a little girl off the RR site. At four years old she weighed only about 15 pounds. We KNEW we had to rescue her. But there was another little angel in the same orphanage who pulled on our heart-strings. The thought of bringing home TWO children with DS terrified us. We already have 5 children at home, two with special needs.

In January we sat at our computer sobbing, watching your precious hubby’s memorial service. I cannot even begin to tell you how deeply our hearts were touched. It was in those moments that the Father whispered to our hearts about adding the second little girl. We knew that we knew that He was using Derek’s legacy to inspire us to do what seemed like an impossible thing.

A few days later we called Andrea and added another blessing to our adoption.

I have spent the last four weeks in the Ukraine adopting our girls. TWO girls. Oh my goodness, I have cried as I have held my Harper and considered that we almost missed out on her. We almost missed out on the blessing of adopting her too. I just cannot even imagine.

I share this with you because I wanted to encourage your heart and let you know that your husband’s life touched us so deeply. Even in his departing from this earth, the Lord is using him profoundly, Renee. I know for a fact that we would have chickened out and NOT adopted Harper. I don’t think we would have had the courage. It was only because of the seed that your Derek has left behind that we were moved to bring her home. And for that I am so VERY thankful.

How BLESSED we are! She is a priceless treasure. I leave on Monday to complete the adoption and bring them both home.

Continuing to bring your family before the Father. May He continue to envelope you in His sweet love.

    With much love
    Adeye Salem
