Rock On Silas!

Silas passed out in his shark tent!
Sasha and Silas campin out together
One of our little guys that we recently adopted from Ukraine named Silas, loves to rock, his body that is
. The problem is this. When he rocks, his head bangs against anything that’s behind him. This doesn’t seem to phase him a bit! I think God must have designed him with an extra hard head. I’m always running around repositioning him so he doesn’t hurt himself.
Our daughter, Michaela bought the boys a shark tent with money she had saved to buy them a present. Silas absolutely loves this tent. When he’s inside it, guess what he does? He rocks of course! The cool thing about him rockin in the tent is that he doesn’t hurt his head. In fact his rocking makes it looks like his shark tent is swimming. It’s a pretty funny sight to see the tail of the shark swaying back and forth! He actually rocks himself to sleep at naptime sometimes, as you see in one of the pics above!
There is never a dull moment around here! I love it!

Too precious! My boys would FLIP for that tent! What a good sister Michaela is for spending her $ on the boys!
Yah, Michaela is pretty awesome isn’t she? She saved and saved all her allowance to buy them presents. It was so sweet to see her doing extra chores to earn money!
Silas is such a doll! I got to stand next to him the other day at IHOP and he swiped my earmuffs and put them on his head
)
How precious! My son had a dinosaur tent growing up and he loved it! The kids look so happy! What a gift to gaze in on the journey! God bless you all!
They look beautiful! Congratulations for your beautiful daughter, she’s an amazing sister! I don’t know many girls who would spend her money on presents to his little brothers. There’s no doubt she’s got a great heart.God bless all of you
Hi Renee and Derek! Thanks for the heads up on your family blog! I’ve read all the newest entries and am floored by how GOOD our God is! Your daughters are precious as they love on these little boys! Thanks for including me in this journey! I love all the updates/stories and adventures! Praying God gives you all HIS wisdom, strength, grace and mercy to raise all your children in the love and fear of our loving Heavenly Daddy! He adores you all!
Renae, I love the tent thing. It is hard for those kids with the rockin coping skill sets. It soothes them, but makes you anxious about injury. It will be interesting to watch as he grows and feels loved and his needs met, to see if the rocking lightens up a bit. It is a coping skill kids develope from neglect or trauma. (plus down’s kids do that) They are so beautiful!!!!!
